Certification of official documents

Bringing documents issued by the Thai government to use in Mexico or bringing Mexican documents back to Thailand, such as marriage registration, must perform the following steps.

Document issued by the Thai authority

Document issued by the Mexican authority

A: Obtain an official document from Thailand

B: Certify it at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand

C: Certify it at the Embassy of Mexico in Bangkok

D: Certify it by the Royal Thai Embassy in Mexico

E: Certify it at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mexico

F: Take it to the desired destination

A: Obtain an official Mexican document

B: Certify it at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mexico

C: Certify it at the Royal Thai Embassy in Mexico

D: Certify it at the Embassy of Mexico in Bangkok

E: Certify it at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand

F: Take it to the desired destination

Application process

  • Applicants submit the documents at the embassy.
  • Applicants must pay the fee at Scotiabank by bringing US dollars in cash. Then, applicants submit the original bank receipt with the documents in item 3.
    • Bank: Scotiabank
    • Account name: Embajada del Reino de Tailandia
    • Account number: 00107234066
    • Note: Receipts are valid only within the current month of payment. If the applicants bring the incomplete or incorrect documents, the embassy cannot refund them in any case.
  • On the date of submission of documents at the embassy, applicants have to bring the following documents:
    • The original document with a copy.
    • The original bank receipt.

Fee

Certification of official documents: 15.00 USD per document

 

Certification of the translator's signature

The embassy does not provide translation services or any services to certify a correct translation. The Embassy can certify the authenticity of the signatures of translators (the documents originated from Thailand) and the authenticity of the SRE's signatures (the documents originated from Mexico).

Application process

  • Applicants submit the documents at the embassy.
  • Applicants must pay the fee at Scotiabank by bringing US dollars in cash. Then, applicants submit the original bank receipt with the documents in item 3.

    • Account name: Embajada del Reino de Tailandia
    • Account number: 00107234066
    • Note: Receipts are valid only within the current month of payment. If the applicants bring incomplete or incorrect documents, the embassy cannot refund them in any case.
  • On the date of submission of documents at the embassy, applicants have to bring the following documents:
    • The original Thai document that needs to be certified with a copy
    • The translated document. The documents must be complete as in the original. The translation is prohibited from concise translations.
    • The translator must come and sign in the presence of the consul.
      • The embassy will certify that the translator has signed in the presence of the consul but will not endorse the text in the translated document.
    • The original bank receipt.

Fee

Certification of the translator's signature: 15.00 USD per document

 

If the original document is an official Mexican document, the document must be certified by the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs first. See details at www.apostilla.gob.mx. Then, applicants bring it to the Royal Thai Embassy.

    • The original bank receipt.
