On March 18, 2025, from 12:00 to 13:00 hrs., H.E. Mr. Rooge Thammongkol, Ambassador of Thailand to Mexico, along with Ambassadors and representatives from the ASEAN Committee in Mexico City (ACMC), held a meeting with Ambassador Maria Teresa Mercado Perez, Undersecretary for Bilateral Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mexico.

The meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation between ASEAN and Mexico, including progress on Mexico’s accession to the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC).

On this occasion, the Thai Ambassador presented key activities for the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Thailand-Mexico diplomatic relations organized by the Royal Thai Embassy involving the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mexico. These activities include the “Thai Bazaar and Beats” on March 21, 2025, the 6th Thailand-Mexico Political Consultations in Bangkok, as well as Thailand Week and the opening of a Thai Supermarket.
