On March 19, 2025, from 14:30 to 15:30 hrs., H.E. Mr. Rooge Thammongkol, Ambassador of Thailand to Mexico, received Mr. Dinesh Bhojwani, Honorary Consul of Thailand in Belmopan, Belize, at the Royal Thai Embassy in Mexico City. The Honorary Consul shared with the Thai Ambassador an update on key political developments following the general elections in Belize and the preparations for the official opening of the Honorary Consulate of Thailand in Belize this year.

Both sides also exchanged information on trade and investment opportunities between Thailand and Belize especially in agriculture, food, and hospitality business. In addition, tourism promotion and the facilitation for travelers between the two countries were discussed.
