After opening remarks by H.E. Mr. Rooge Thammongkol, Ambassador of Thailand to Mexico, the attendees enjoyed a live Pad Thai cooking demonstration by the Ambassador’s chef, along with tastings of mango sticky rice and Thai tea, delighting both first-time tasters and longtime Thai food lovers alike. The event also featured handicraft products from the Thai community in Mexico, traditional Thai massage, and personalized Thai name calligraphy, which proved to be a popular attraction.
A highlight of the event was a special acoustic performance by H3F, a Thai pop-funk-R&B band, who captivated the audience with soulful renditions of their hits, including “Catwalk” and “How Can I”, in a cozy garden setting. The crowd sang along, fully immersed in the live music. Following their performance, H3F took part in a press conference, sharing their excitement about their first visit to Mexico and their upcoming performance at the Spring Night Festival 2025, invited by the Government of Mexico City.
This Thai Bazaar marked the first time the Embassy opened its new premises to the Mexican public, receiving an overwhelmingly positive response. From the delicious flavors of Thai cuisine to the lively cultural showcase, the event reaffirmed Mexico’s growing love for Thailand, a trend the Embassy is committed to further promoting through future events.
Looking ahead, in April 2025, the Embassy will welcome Gemini & Fourth, leading actors from Thai Boys’ Love (BL) series under GMMTV, who will fly to Mexico for their first-ever Fan Meeting in Mexico City.
