On 21 March 2025, H.E. Mr. Rooge Thammongkol, Thai Ambassador to Mexico, together with Counselor Prapasri Chetsonkcul and Consul Areeya Prajunpanich Forastieri, extended their congratulations to Ms. Wanwisa Nillaor and Ms. Mariana Beltran Leon, Thai - Mexican couple, as the first same-sex marriage registraion performed at the Royal Thai Embassy in Mexico.

The Royal Thai Embassy has always been supporting the issue of gender equality and gender diversity and has offered its consular service for same-sex marriage registration to Thai citizens since 23 January 2025.
