Ambassador met with executives of Estampa Verde to further promote cooperation in Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (SEP)
 
On January 31, 2025, at 11.00 hrs. H.E. Mr. Rooge Thammongkol, Ambassador of Thailand to Mexico, had a meeting with executives of Estampa Verde, an NGO from Veracruz State, Mexico. At the meeting, Mr. Pablo King Alvarez, Strategic Alliances Coordinator and Mr. Antonio Carrillo Bolea, CEO, shared with the Thai Ambassador of the NGO’s interest in applying Thailand’s knowledge on Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (SEP) and the cultivation of Vetiver grass and rice in Mexican agricultural system in order to improve its productivity as well as generate more income and well-being to Mexican farmers. Possible forms of cooperation include the invitation for Thailand’s experts to participate in an international conference on Vetiver grass and site visit in Mexico as well as the exchange of knowledge and best practices via training courses and workshops.
 
The Thai Ambassador reiterated Thailand’s readiness to foster cooperation in SEP with Mexico. The cooperation with Estampa Verde, in the year that both countries will celebrate the 50th Anniversary of diplomatic relations, will make Mexico the 1st country in Latin America with cooperation in SEP with Thailand.
