On 18 June 2024, H.E. Mr. Rooge Thammongkol, Ambassador of Thailand to Mexico, met with H.E. Mr. Oscar Lorenzo Arnold, Ambassador of Belize to Mexico to introduce himself on the occasion of assuming his duties as Ambassador of Thailand to Mexico and Concurrent Ambassador designate of Thailand to Belize, with residence in Mexico City.

 

On this occasion, the Ambassador suggested Belize's side to consider re-opening the Embassy of Belize in Thailand to enhance cooperation and contact, and to promote trade and investment between the two countries. The Ambassador of Belize agreed to inform the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belize for consideration.

 

Both sides also exchanged views on promoting Thai-Belize relations, especially trade and investment, in particular, fish products, coffee and processed food.
